De-escalation Training for Protectors of Democracy
Lately, it seems like there is a protest every day of the week. Many of us have attended one. As they get bigger and more popular the issue of safety for those participating has become a concern. This interactive training is designed to equip participants with the essential skills needed to engage in dialogue and manage conflict during potential tense and emotional circumstances. This training will focus on empathy, reflective listening, self-regulation, safety measures, and role play scenarios.
Our presenters will be: Jill Murphy (Friends of Bernie Sanders); Erik Shelley (Michigan United Action); Lisa Denny (UNDIVIDED) and Stephanie Crider (UNDIVIDED).
Saline has NO KINGS!
In America, we don’t put up with would-be kings. NO KINGS is a national day of action and mass mobilization in response to increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption from Trump and his allies. We’ve watched as they’ve cracked down on free speech, detained people for their political views, threatened to deport American citizens, and defied the courts. They’ve done this all while continuing to serve and enrich their billionaire allies.

Hands off Medicaid! Stand up against the GOP's cruel cuts!
We support everyone's fundamental right to health care. But Republicans are planning to make huge cuts to Medicaid, even though it will strip health care from hundreds of thousands of Michiganders. This dangerous plan will harm children and ruin lives. Republicans are doing this heinous act to give billionaires a tax cut. Join us in a public protest in Ann Arbor to help create public backlash to their greedy, harmful plan, and say Hands off Medicaid!

Hands Off: A2 (Part 2)
Think of how powerful a visual a mile(s) long line of protestors is vs a noisy crowd at a corner that can catch eyes only for mere moments.
If everyone brings a sign, we will create a more impactful visual and take up more space.
Let's do it before and after the game: 9-noon and 3-6. Hearty souls can go home during the game, refuel, reboot and return!
You can mark yourself as going on the HANDS OFF A2 event Facebook page or just show up.
Hands Off: Saline Fights Back
We will demonstrate on the corner of Michigan Ave and Ann Arbor Street. Come and voice your support for our democracy!
