About Us
Who We Are
Saline Indivisible is a grassroots collection of citizens living in and around the Saline (MI) community who are concerned with the current state of our country.
The local Indivisible chapter, Saline Indivisible, was initially founded in response to the first Trump term. Like all local Indivisible groups, our group is independently organized and led by members of the Saline and Greater Saline communities. The system allows local chapters the autonomy to focus on the issues that matter the most to them.
The Saline Indivisible vision is the same as the national Indivisible movement.
A real democracy -- of, by, and for the people.
Our mission is to protect our democracy and ensure that our local, state, and federal governments protect our marginalized community members and ensure opportunities for all.
Leadership
With the resurgence of Trump and his minions' actions, the Saline Indivisible group has seen a surge in membership and interest.
With Trump's second term, Naomi Ernest & Ben Schaaf, with the support of past leadership, are working hard to bring the community together.
Indivisible
Brought together by a practical guide to resist the Trump agenda, Indivisible is a movement of thousands of group leaders and more than a million members taking regular, iterative, and increasingly complex actions to resist the GOPs agenda, elect local champions, and fight for progressive policies.
The Indivisible Guide is a fantastic and easy-to-digest document that we highly recommend folks read.
Indivisible’s Commitment to Nonviolence
From the start, Indivisible has been committed to non-violence as a guiding principle in everything we do: our protests, our organizing, and our advocacy.
Saline Indivisible is firmly committed to nonviolence. We believe in building a strong, caring community and view violence as the antithesis of the movement we are creating.
